About This Project
When this family moved into their beautifully renovated historic landmark home, something was missing. The bones were there, but the personality wasn't. They entertained often, loved color, and wanted spaces that felt genuinely inviting to their guests and unmistakably theirs. The front room sat virtually unused except at Christmas. That was the starting point.
The first floor was transformed through a deliberate layering of color, light, and texture. Jewel tones brought warmth and joy to spaces that had felt neutral and impersonal. Fractal-patterned wallcoverings and wall paneling on the stair wall added visual richness and a sense of intimacy. Lighting was layered throughout, with table lamps, floor lamps, and wall sconces replacing the flatness of overhead light alone.
Furniture was arranged to create better flow and a greater sense of ease in how the family and their guests move through the home. Nature-inspired art and textured accessories added depth within the bolder palette, keeping the spaces feeling curated rather than busy.
The result is a home that finally reflects who this family is. Warm, colorful, full of life, and designed to be shared.
