Charity Causes Close to my Heart
One of GOGO’s missions is to bring joy to our clients’ lives through our interior design work. Another mission is to share our creative talent to give back to the world around us. We are blessed to be able to do this through several channels with my work with non-profits’ No Shame on U and Designs4Dignity.
Giving Back to my Industry Peers
Another outlet for giving back is volunteering within PowerHouse SMART®, a Membership Community in the Luxury Design, Build and Real Estate arena. This networking and education community is working to grow to new heights while fostering business growth and development for its’ members in the Chicagoland and Midwest markets.
This past year I have been dedicated to serving as the Co-Chairperson with my colleague Michael Norpell, Norpies Wall to Wall, for PowerHouse SMART®’s largest annual industry event, the PHS Luxury Conference, scheduled on Feb. 7, 2018, located at the Chicago Merchandise Mart (theMART).
This significant industry conference will bring together 300+ leaders in the Luxury Design, Build, Real Estate Industry for a half day of spectacular Inspiration, Collaboration and cutting-edge Education.
My work is to help create and support the Vision for the Luxury Conference. Michael and I have had an amazing time promoting this event, specifically through the power of video. Collaborating with videographer Pasquale Iannino, Rockit Projects, and PHS Founder, Wendy Cohen, we filmed two conference videos. One is information-centered to promote excitement around the conference details and the other as a funny teaser video. The latter may make you giggle, as Michael and I promote the conference as Laverne & Shirley, marching through theMART hand in hand to the theme song of their hit comedy TV show in the early 80’s.
